The use of corrosion coupons is the most common method of measuring internal corrosion, and is critical to establishing a monitoring baseline. Sewon offers a flanged coupon holder assembly, ideal for locations with: restricted access space, where an existing flange fitting is available, or where retraction under pressure is not required. Various coupon configurations are available, such as single, double or multiple strip, and flush or projecting disc. A flush disc configuration is suitable if pipe wall condition monitoring is desired, or if the location is regularly pigged. If flow disturbance and pigging are not concerns, a projecting strip or disc coupon design is available, to monitor any depth or flow phase, including bottom of line traps. Flanged fittings must be used in locations that can be isolated or depressurized before change-out and servicing can take place.
